We hope to partner with dozens of small businesses throughout the Southern United States committed to improving the customer experience through convenience, accuracy of requests, and timely delivery.
The Objective Timely transportation of customer items Effective communication of transit times and limitations Efficient tracking of contents from origins to destinations The Opportunity Limit miscommunications and improved timely and accurate communications Transport items quickly and safely Be available for all transportation needs The Solution Improve paperwork handling Additional drivers Revamp paperwork documentation WE ARE THE SOLUTION Our clients have a well-deserved reputation for quality customer service.
They are faced with changes in distribution systems, economic impacts to transportation and logistics, and limitations that prevent taking full advantage of improvements in technology.
COOL RUNNINGS COURIER SERVICES has been tasked with assisting with their changes and improve efficiency which will help reduce costs.
Employment Schedule of availability on call status o Required to answer once contacted but not required to accept assignment Trips may be:
o Known in advanceo Last minute o Scheduled - Daily, Weekly, Bi-weekly o As needed o Nights, weekends, and Holidays o HOT (time sensitive and cannot be delayed in any way) There is NO RETRIBUTION for unavailability o We only want you to drive if YOU want to drive 1099-MISC Contractor status o Drivers are their own business that we are subcontracting to work for us COOL RUNNINGS does NOT classify as the driver's employer COOL RUNNINGS is the driver's customer o Drivers provide/pay for equipment to be used during transport Option for assistance may be available.
o Drivers choose the route to be used during transport o Drivers pay their own taxes Completion and verification of the QUALIFICATION section of this document Trips & Paperwork Servicing Louisiana Locations Baton Rouge Area Convent / St.
James Area Geismar / Gonzales Area Harvey Area Lake Charles / Sulphur Area La Place Area Luling Area Plaquemine Area St.
Rose / NOLA Area Servicing Texas Locations Beaumont Area Deer Park Area Pasadena Area Driver Responsibilities Complete Trips/Runs in a timely and safe manner.
o If accepted, MUST always remain in contact with Dispatcher or Owner.
o Ensure safe and expedient transportation.
Driver Safety Comes First.
Not required to speed.
NOT AUTHORIZED to make decision involving issues concerning samples.
MUST Communicate with dispatcher about delays that are greater than 30 minutes.
Payment and Processing Rates (Individual) o Based on a One-Way mileage o Individual rate for each run is based on individual's:
Valid Experience = $1.
00 per mile one-way rate No Experience = $0.
85 per mile one-way mile rate o Holiday & Holiday Weekend Rates = Trip Rate
15% or more (depends on Client's rate) Payment Distribution (as processed) o Weekly Invoice Submittals o Invoice Payment Distribution will vary 1099 Payment will be completed by Direct Deposit only.
Usually 1-2 business days after email notification of deposit (invoice) Other Benefits include Gas Allowance of $0.
20 per mile driven from pickup to drop-off and if customers causes a delay (Demurrage) $20 every 45 minutes of wait time Runs assigned to the first driver to respond on an as needed basis Execution and Time Expectations Unless otherwise agreed, 15 minutes from acceptance of assignment plus travel time.
Also must be able to use GPS (preferably Google Maps), smartphone, camera on phone, and text message on phone.
